If blanco tequilas are considered fresh and exuberant, and reposados as refined and elegant, then surely añejo tequilas must be characterized as noble and luxurious. Both words perfectly describe the utterly sophisticated 123 Organic Añejo (Tres) 100% Agave Tequila. A quick sniff, sip and swallow are all it takes to know that you're in the presence of an extraordinary spirit.

The entire range of 123 Organic 100% Agave Tequilas is handcrafted in the Lowlands of Jalisco at Tequila Las Americas [NOM 1480] in Amatitán. As its name states, the tequilas are made from USDA and EU certified organic blue agaves, meaning they were cultivated without the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. After the agaves are harvested and shredded, they are baked in traditional stone ovens over several days and slowly fermented before being double-distilled in stainless steel pot stills. The añejo is then aged for a minimum of 18 months in American white oak barrels and bottled at 40% alcohol by volume (80 proof).

The 123 Organic Añejo has an alluring golden hue, an oily textured, medium-weight body and a wafting bouquet of caramel, vanilla, cinnamon and dark chocolate. Its entry is quite gentle and the tequila quickly bathes the palate with the lingering flavors of cocoa, mint, cinnamon and toffee. The longer the tequila breathes, the more flavors it seems to exhibit. The lingering finish is supremely satisfying.

The range also includes 123 Organic Reposado (Dos) 100% Agave Tequila, which is aged for a minimum of 6 months in American white oak barrels. The amber/gold tequila has a bouquet laced with the aromas of caramel, spice, toffee and vanilla and a delectable palate of cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon and crème brûlée.

Bottled fresh from the still, crystal clear 123 Organic Blanco (Uno) 100% Agave Tequila has a floral nose with spicy, peppery notes and a broad palate of anise, caramel, vanilla and citrus flavors.

The man behind the brand is tequila expert David Ravandi. He created the 123 Organic Tequila (Uno Dos Tres) line specifically with wine enthusiasts in mind.
