Being eco-friendly and leaving as small of a carbon footprint as possible is becoming increasingly important to consumers. Global warming and protecting the environment seem to be on most people's minds, even spirit producers. If given the choice between purchasing an environmentally responsible product—such as a vodka—and one that's not, Americans are now going to choose the eco-friendly spirit more often than not.

But there's a catch. Regardless of whether a vodka is produced with a small carbon footprint or not, it still needs to be able to exceed expectations and satisfy the senses on its own merits. Fortunately 360 Vodka does just that.

Made in Weston, Missouri by the Earth Friendly Distilling Company, 360 is a top-shelf spirit produced using 21st century thinking and state-of-the-art technology. The vodka is four times distilled in a column still from locally sourced grain and pristine water. It is then rendered essentially pure through a rigorous, five-step filtration process. One of the filters utilizes a .45-micron membrane to eliminate microscopic particulates from the vodka; another eliminates trace impurities with granulated coconut shells.

Alone in a glass, 360 Vodka has a glimmering, crystal clear appearance and a broad bouquet marked with notes of citrus, nutty almond and sweet grain. While its entry is soft and gentle, the medium-weight vodka quickly builds in intensity, filling the mouth with creamy and herbaceous flavors. The spirit's most outstanding feature is undoubtedly its finish, which is clean, crisp and and slightly spicy warm. It's an invigorating experience from start to long finish.

In addition to being an engaging spirit, 360 Vodka is an illustration of what can be achieved when like-minded people set out to do the right thing. Every aspect of its production and packaging is well conceived and eco-friendly. Great product and immaculate karma make an unbeatable combination. Kudos!

The 360 Vodka range has expanded to include a number of delectable flavored vodkas, most of which cannot be replicated behind the bar. For example, 360 Buttered Popcorn Flavored Vodka is a dead ringer for taste of movie theater popcorn. The flavor is fully developed on the long lasting finish. Try as you might, there's no way to duplicate this engaging vodka by tinkering behind the bar. The same is true for 360 Glazed Donut Flavored Vodka and 360 Double Chocolate Flavored Vodka. Both are dry, balanced and spot-on recreations of their primary flavors.

The folks at 360 have also created a series of vodkas with more conventional flavor profiles, spirits such as 360 Grape Flavored Vodka, 360 Sorrento Lemon Flavored Vodka, Bing Cherry Flavored Vodka and Red Raspberry Flavored Vodka. Not only are they classic flavors recreated with precision, they totally lack any sweetness or artificial aftertaste that plague some many other brands. These 360 flavored gems offer bartenders and mixologists tremendous creative latitude at a value-laded price.

Cheers!
