Tequila Cazadores Añejo 100% Agave has for years been one of the bestselling tequilas in Mexico, arguably a country whose citizens know great tequila when they taste it. The brand has achieved market preeminence producing 100% blue agave tequilas with a well-defined "everyman" quality. They're not overly refined or boutique-like, but what they do possess are authenticity and indomitable spirits, two essential characteristics of a truly enjoyable tequila.

The family behind the brand is no stranger to the tequila trade. The patriarch—Don Felix Bañuelos—was the master tequilero at Destiladora de Los Altos and created Cazadores according to a longstanding family recipe. The tequila is made in the heart of the Los Altos region of Jalisco at the state-of-the-art Bacardi y Compania—NOM 1587—who also produce super-premium Corzo Tequila. The blue agaves the distillery uses to make its tequilas are highly prized and grow to maturity in the region's red volcanic soil and temperate climate.

Immediately upon harvesting, the agaves are baked in stainless steel autoclaves and fermented for 7 to 9 days with a natural strain of yeast. During the fermentation process, the master distiller plays classical music as he believes it has a soothing affect on the yeast. Cazadores tequilas are double distilled for 12 hours in stainless steel pot stills.

It's little wonder why Cazadores Añejo sells so well. Aged no less than 12 months in new, American white oak barrels, the tequila has a shimmery gold color, an oily textured, medium-weight body and a beckoning bouquet of vanilla, caramel, apples and black pepper. Its entry is soft and sweet and quickly fills the mouth with spicy, fruit, chocolaty flavors. The palate is well constructed with balanced acid and sweetness, while the finish is warm and peppery.

Aged between 2 to11 months in new American oak, Tequila Cazadores Reposado 100% Agave is a straw-colored, medium-bodied spirit with character and exuberance. The reposado is highly aromatic. Its bouquet is peppery with cinnamon, vanilla, pear and lemon zest aromas and the longer it aerates the more fragrant the tequila becomes. The warm, satisfying palate gradually fades into a caramel, citrus and fruit finish.

Fresh and lively Tequila Cazadores Blanco 100% Agave is filtered and bottled shortly after distillation. It has crystalline clarity, a light satiny body and a focused, citrus and black pepper bouquet. Upon entry the tequila builds in intensity and bathes the palate with fruity and herbal flavors, a warm pleasant mix perfectly suited for a light-bodied blanco. The finish is short and semisweet.

Cazadores Tequilas are flavorful enough to shine in cocktails, yet thoroughly enjoyable when presented by themselves in a shot glass or shifter.
