Crafted in St. Croix, this limited production, handcrafted rum is made from a blend of triple-distilled rums aged between 5- and 12-years in American oak bourbon barrels. After blending, the rum is placed in new American white oak casks that are heavily charred inside for secondary aging. This extended aging allows the elements of the blend to "marry" and fully integrate. No batch is bottled until a panel of tasters deems the rum ready for release.
The result of the "double casking" can be perceived in every aspect of the rum's character. It has a lustrous, tawny red color and a medium to full body. The sumptuous bouquet is loaded with the aromas of butterscotch, spice, vanilla and a hint of smoke. The palate is brimming with flavor and tannin from the oak, all of which taper off to a long satiny finish.
