Patron Anejo Tequila

Patrón 100% Blue
Agave Añejo Tequila

By Robert Plotkin

Patrón's famed artisan tequilas are skillfully distilled and blended in the high altitudes of the mountains surrounding Jalisco. These 100% agave tequilas have remained preeminent since they were introduced in the mid-1980s in America; due largely to the enormous following of the brand's flagship, Patrón 100% Blue Agave Añejo Tequila.

The entire range of Patrón tequilas are made relying on time-proven techniques. The mature agaves are baked, crushed and slowly fermented. They are then double-distilled in copper pot stills, balanced to 80-proof and repeatedly filtered for purity. Aging takes place in small, 180-liter American oak barrels.

Patrón Añejo is an incomparable masterpiece with a luxurious, satiny smooth gold body. The tequila is generously aromatic with light fruity notes. Its palate is a rich complex of caramel, citrus and spice. The finish is long and semisweet.

Patrón 100% Agave Silver Tequila is a rare and exuberant gem, loaded with the fresh aromas of lemon and white pepper. The supple body delivers on the promise of buttery sweet and peppery flavors. It is a supremely elegant blanco tequila.

The latest addition to the family is Patrón 100% Blue Agave Reposado Tequila. It is aged a minimum of 6 months, during which it picks up a trace of golden color and a splash of toasted oak flavor. The tequila is mellow and inviting with a relaxed finish.
